A commercial pilot licence with instrument and multi-engine privileges plus the ATPL theory exams. It unfreezes into a full ATPL once you gain the airline experience the rules require.
No. The licence is issued by SHGM, Türkiye's civil aviation authority. Training follows ICAO rules and EASA modular ATP standards, which makes a later conversion easier, but flying for an EU airline requires converting the licence under EASA rules, usually with extra exams and checks.

Turkish citizens enter through the national YKS exam. International applicants apply to the university directly. Everyone passes the same gate: an SHGM Class 1 medical at registration.

Places are filled through ÖSYM's central placement with the SAY score. In 2025 the paid track had 48 places (base ranking about 305,000) and the full-scholarship track 7 places (base ranking about 1,650). Check YÖK Atlas for the current year before you make your preference list.

05·AIRLN·Airline pathway
Özyeğin University and Pegasus Airlines signed a cooperation protocol for Pilotaj students. It is the only airline pathway we describe, in the university's own words.
Students who pass Pegasus's selection process during their studies can be accepted into type-rating training after graduation, to be trained as second officers at Pegasus.
Under the Pegasus Second Officer Candidate Program described by the university, Pegasus covers the flight-school fee, the type-rating cost and a training allowance. The pilot repays them from the first month of employment.
Selection and the number of places are decided by the airline. Check the current terms before relying on them.
The airliner on the chart carries no livery and no registration: it stands for the pathway, not for a specific aircraft or airline.

Yes. A bachelor's degree from Özyeğin University and entitlement to an ATP(A) frozen licence from SHGM, Türkiye's civil aviation authority. It is not an EASA licence; training follows EASA standards, and conversion is possible later under EASA rules.

About $16,500 per year for tuition and about €84,700 for flight training including VAT (€77,000 before VAT), as the university lists for 2026–27. Living costs, exams, the medical and a preparatory year are extra. We charge nothing for the first consultation.
